Location Highlights
Frankfort offers access to Kentucky history and outdoor recreation within a compact capital city setting. The Kentucky State Capitol and the Kentucky History Center are both located in Frankfort, and Cove Spring Park provides trails and waterfalls just minutes from downtown. Buffalo Trace Distillery is located in the city, and Lexington is about 30 miles east for additional dining, entertainment, and airport access. The Kentucky River runs through Frankfort, and Louisville is about 50 miles west, giving travelers access to two major metro areas during an assignment.
