Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

San Francisco, CA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:00–16:30) | Monday–Friday with approximately one Saturday per month | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

Provide speech-language pathology services across acute care, pediatric, and rehabilitation settings, with the ability to float to other affiliated facilities as needed
Perform and interpret Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) for both adult and pediatric populations
Manage patients with complex needs including Total Laryngectomy , Tracheostomy/Ventilator dependence , and Speaking Valve use
Demonstrate competency in dysphagia evaluation and treatment for pediatric and adult patients
Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team in a teaching hospital environment, including PICU and pediatric rehabilitation settings

Required Qualifications

Active California Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License — must be in hand at time of submittal
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
Experience in Acute Care, Children's Hospital, Pediatric Rehabilitation, and/or PICU settings
Teaching hospital experience required
All prior employment with any University of California medical facility or affiliated/acquired facilities must be disclosed with dates, units, and supervisor names for rehire eligibility review
2 professional references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
Local candidates are welcome and are subject to the same terms as travel candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

Pediatric outpatient clinical experience
Clinical experience in an academic medical center
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
